This week was Confidence: The Victory!

We discussed discovering the power of victory through the Spirit as we journey together. God declares victory over our lives, empowering us to overcome every trial and hardship. It's not just about winning battles but embracing a victorious mindset that sees beyond the challenges to the greater purpose God has for us.

In the midst of rough seasons, remember that victory is yours because of who God is. Even when we can't see victory in the midst of the war, faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. Let's shift our perspective from victim mentality to God's mindset, finding satisfaction and fulfillment in Him alone.

As adopted children of God, we are heirs to His glory, called to shine His light even in the midst of suffering. Let's trust in His plan, surrender to His will, and allow Him to prepare us for the mission He has set before us.

Join us as we delve deeper into the journey of faith, discovering the joy of worshiping God in Spirit and truth. Let's prioritize our relationship with Him, spending time in His presence and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out. Don't miss out on this empowering message of victory and purpose!

Confidence in Christ Week 2- 4.10.24

Hey J-Fam, Tonight was Week 2 of our Confidence in Christ series!

We defined the power of confidence —faith in God, certainty in our relationship with Him, and assurance of our identity in Christ.

Through Colossians 2:9-15, we find that in Christ, we are complete and secure, with no need for labels or worldly validations. Trusting in Him, we can face any challenge with cheerful courage and bold assurance.

Just like the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:8-37, we can trust in God's provision and direction, knowing that He has everything under control. With Him, we have direction, peace, strength, healing, discernment, and all that we need!

Let's lean into Proverbs 3:5-6 and Psalm 119:105, trusting in the Lord's guidance and finding light for our path in His Word. With confidence in Christ, we can sleep well, make good decisions, and live each day with strength and discernment.

God's Love Week 3 - Loving Like Jesus - 2.21.24

Hey J-Fam,

Tonight, we continued our series on God's Love by embracing the challenge of loving like Jesus! First, challenged to pause and ask ourselves: do we truly seek to love as Jesus did? It's a daily journey, a mission of the heart. We start by aligning our mindset with His, letting go of self, and surrendering to His love.

In Luke 6:27-35, Jesus teaches us radical love: blessing those who curse us, praying for our adversaries, turning the other cheek. It's tough, but with the Spirit's guidance, it's possible.

Second, check your attitude, check your heart. Love demands vulnerability, breaking down walls of pride and fear. Even when it hurts, even when it's not reciprocated, love perseveres.

Why love like Jesus? Because it's transformative. It's about giving of ourselves, stepping out of our comfort zones, and sacrificing for others, just as He did for us.

To love like Jesus means knowing the Father's deeds, embracing His Word, and embodying His works. It's about provoking love in action, stirring hearts to kindness and compassion.

Let's go forth in love, not seeking reciprocation but giving freely and abundantly. Together, let's embody the love of Christ and spread His light in the world!

God's Love Week 2 - 2.14.24

Happy Valentine's Day, J-Fam!

Today, let's celebrate the incredible love of God that surrounds us every moment. In tonight's discussion, we reflected on Jeremiah 31:3; we were reminded of the depths of His love, seen in His constant pursuit of us, even when we stray. His love isn't just a feeling; it's a sacrificial, relational force that brings us refuge and strength in every season.

As we pondered on His love, we asked ourselves: How has experiencing God's love transformed the way we love others? What does His love mean to us personally, especially when cultural norms try to redefine it? Love is action, a willingness to sacrifice and give, just as God demonstrated by sacrificing His Son for us (John 3:16-17).

Let's commit to God, knowing that His love never fails, even in our darkest moments. In Psalm 122:2 and James 4:7, we're urged to submit to Him, finding refuge in His strength. We may face trials, but through His love, we find victory and endurance (John 16:33).

Let's shift our focus from our struggles to the lessons God is teaching us. He disciplines us because He loves us (Hebrews 12:4-11), shaping us into vessels of His love and grace. In every trial, He draws us closer to Him (Romans 2:1-4; 2 Peter 3:8-9), equipping us for His purpose (2 Peter 1:3-4).

Today, let's walk confidently in His love (Ephesians 3:14-19), knowing that the One who created the universe is deeply in love with us and has magnificent plans for our lives. Embrace His love, knowing that in Him, we find strength, victory, and endless blessings. Happy Valentine's Day, dear friends!

God's Love: Self-Love 2.7.24

Hey J-Fam! We're diving into something truly special: the boundless love of God and the magic of self-love. In our latest series, we uncovered the beauty of fellowship and how it intertwines with nurturing our own souls.

We talked about the joy and strength found in community, lifting each other up, and sharing in the journey of growth. Remember, loving ourselves is the first step to truly loving others.

Scripture reminds us of our worth and the incredible love that surrounds us: Hebrews 10:24-25, John 3:16, Philippians 2:5, 2 Timothy 1:7, Proverbs 3:24-26, 20:13. Let's lean into that confidence and faith, friends.

Reminder: Self-care isn't selfish—it's necessary for our well-being. Just as God rested, we, too, must rest and rejuvenate. Listen to your body, honor its needs, and prioritize your mental, physical, and spiritual health.

Just like you maintain your car, take the time to assess and care for yourself. Regular check-ins with your doctor, mindful nutrition, and positive influences for your mind are key. What does self-care look like for YOU? Remember, it's different for everyone!

 

So here's your challenge, J-Fam: dedicate just one hour this week to loving yourself. Whether it's five-minute moments sprinkled throughout your day or a full hour of self-indulgence, prioritize YOU.
