God's Love Week 3 - Loving Like Jesus - 2.21.24

Hey J-Fam,

Tonight, we continued our series on God's Love by embracing the challenge of loving like Jesus! First, challenged to pause and ask ourselves: do we truly seek to love as Jesus did? It's a daily journey, a mission of the heart. We start by aligning our mindset with His, letting go of self, and surrendering to His love.

In Luke 6:27-35, Jesus teaches us radical love: blessing those who curse us, praying for our adversaries, turning the other cheek. It's tough, but with the Spirit's guidance, it's possible.

Second, check your attitude, check your heart. Love demands vulnerability, breaking down walls of pride and fear. Even when it hurts, even when it's not reciprocated, love perseveres.

Why love like Jesus? Because it's transformative. It's about giving of ourselves, stepping out of our comfort zones, and sacrificing for others, just as He did for us.

To love like Jesus means knowing the Father's deeds, embracing His Word, and embodying His works. It's about provoking love in action, stirring hearts to kindness and compassion.

Let's go forth in love, not seeking reciprocation but giving freely and abundantly. Together, let's embody the love of Christ and spread His light in the world!
